  • My sister and her husband live in Modesto, are fed up with California, and would consider moving to Amador, Calaveras or Tuolumne Counties upon retirement if Jefferson becomes a state. Looks like the new state could be coming to their county.

    • Rick. I think Stanislaus County would be a perfect addition to the New State. As CalExit grows we as a movement should draft in behind it by using it to bring in people and counties opposed to CalExit. Its a perfect advertisement for the New State and we could grow very fast!!! Thanks Rick!

      • I think the counties all the way down the San Joaquin Valley and over the Sierras into eastern California will be joining in to reject the Progressive Secession. A couple things for all of the attendees to think about for our meeting on Saturday:
        >If we include all of these counties in our movement, we certainly will be a force to be reckoned with and will be a formidable opponent to CalExit. But they have a number of cities that are way larger than most of our counties: Fresno, Bakersfield, and Modesto plus several more (Hanford, Visalia, Tulare, Merced, Porterville) that are on par with our largest cities. So they would change the complexion of our 23 Northern California County State. Is this what we would want? (I lived for eight years in Fresno and Bakersfield, liked being there more than the Bay Area, yet they are way different from the Sacramento Valley)
        >SOJ is getting into Stanislaus and likely into the other San Joaquin Valley Counties way before us because it is a known entity and has inertia. So as we get into our SWOT, will we see JF as an Opportunity that will open doors for us or a Threat?
